eca46fbb 21SVGATextMode is a utility for reprogramming (S)VGA hardware, which can
22improve the appearance of text consoles. You should install
23SVGATextMode if you want to alter the appearance of your text
24consoles. The utility uses a configuration file (Xconfig or
25XF86Config) to set up textmodes with higher resolution, larger fonts,
26higher display refresh rates, etc.

eca46fbb 28Although SVGATextMode can be used to program any text mode size, your
29results will depend on your VGA card.
