  end of life. Therefore, the e1000 driver is changing to kernel support
  mode only. This means the e1000 driver will not be released to
  SourceForge.net any more (the last e1000 version released was 8.0.35).
  Any bug fixes or changes will be made only upstream in the kernel.org
  version.
